About PVH Bookstand




This privacy and cookie policy (“Privacy Policy”) applies to you and the processing of all your personal data collected on the PVH EUROPE APP to be renamed PVH Bookstand App (the “MobileApp”) and the website https://pvh.be.rs (the “Website”) by PVH Europe B.V. (hereinafter, “PVH) as the owner and responsible for the MobileApp and the Website (also together referred to as the “App”). In this Privacy Policy "we”, “our(s)” and “us” refers to PVH and "you" refers to the authorized user of the App.

This Privacy Policy explains how PVH as a data controller uses the information (“Personal Data”) that it collects and processes from you as part of the online services it provides through the App.


1. Categories of Personal Data, purposes of processing and legal basis on which PVH processes Personal Data

Personal data
We process the following Personal Data through the App:

  • Name (first- and last name)
  • Email address
  • Business contact details;

Purpose and legal basis
We will use your Personal Data which you submit through the App for the following purposes:

  • To provide you access to the Manual and Trainings: with your permission we use your Personal Data to register you and to provide you with access to the App through an account;
  • To register training: we use your Personal Data to register if you have (successfully) followed trainings offered by or on behalf of PVH. It is in our legitimate business interest to register your accomplishments as to assure the PVH brands are represented in a professional manner;
  • To training evaluation: send you an invite to complete an evaluation so we can assess the success of the training and improve the training.
  • To improve your online experience: When you visit one of our websites or use our app we will drop cookies, pixels and other digital tools with similar functionality on your device that enable us to monitor your behavior.   • To comply with legal obligations: for example our financial bookkeeping obligations;


2. Use of cookies

What are cookies?
Cookies are small (temporary) text files we transfer to your device. We may also use similar digital techniques, such as JavaScript, HTML 5, device fingerprinting etc. Collectively we refer to these digital techniques as “cookies” in this Privacy Policy.

Why do we use cookies?
Cookies may be used for many different purposes. In the first place, cookies ensure that you can use the basic functionality of the App: they remember your selection and the choices you make to improve your experience. We call them “functional cookies”.

Social media- and advertising cookies

We do not use any social media and advertising cookies.
How can I make a choice about cookies and my privacy? On the Website you can set your preferences regarding cookies. In the subsequent “more info” screen that is showed to you, you can indicate that you give or withhold consent by ticking or removing the relevant tick in the tick boxes. 3. Who has access to your Personal Data?

The Personal Data are processed exclusively by authorized employees of PVH and/or by external companies:

  • Our employees may have access to the Personal Data. In such a case, access will be granted only if necessary for the purposes described above and only if the employee is bound by an obligation of confidentiality;
  • We may share your Personal Data with an entity of PVH if this is necessary for the provision of the services and handling of your request;
  • We may share your Personal Data with third parties acting on our behalf. These third parties include service providers and parties that offer Trainings. In such cases, these third parties may only use your Personal Data for the purposes described above and only in accordance with our instructions;
  • We may share your Personal Data if required to do so by law or court order, for example with law enforcement agencies or other governmental agencies.


4. How long will we keep your Personal Data?

Your Personal Data is retained no longer than is necessary to achieve the purpose for which PVH collects and uses them. In principle, we retain your Personal Data and other information for as long as is necessary due to our contractual relationship with you (your employer) or to meet legal requirements that apply to us.


5. What measures does PVH take to protect your Personal Data?

PVH has taken appropriate technical, and organizational (security) measures to protect the Personal Data it processes against accidental or unlawful processing, such as unauthorized access, disclosure, damage or loss of Personal Data. When you are logged in and fill in forms or access your Personal Data on the App, a secure connection is used (http via SSL, also known as HTTPS). The data you enter is automatically encrypted before it is sent.


6. Does PVH transfer your Personal Data to a country outside the EU?

In the context of the handling of your request, it may also be necessary for Personal Data to be transferred to third parties outside the European Economic Area (“EEA”). For example, Personal Data can be transferred to group companies located outside the EEA, if PVH uses services from third parties outside the EEA, such as the hosting services of the Website, or if PVH is obliged to provide its information to foreign authorities.

It is possible that the regulations of the countries where the third parties are located in provide a different level of (legal) data protection as in the EEA. PVH will take the measures based on applicable law that are necessary to ensure the lawful transfer of your Personal Data.

In most cases, such a transfer will be governed by a contract based on the standard contractual clauses for data transfer, approved by the European Commission (European Model Clauses). You can obtain a copy by submitting a request using the contact details below.


7. What rights can you exercise in relation to your Personal Data?

Through these contact details you can also request access, rectification, erasure, restriction or portability of your personal data. If you are not satisfied with the way we use your personal data, you can make a complaint with us through the contact details below and/or with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (in Dutch: Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
